Default Tax Time

Not really sure how everyone did on their taxes but I just finished efiling and I'm happy. Used turbo tax again this year and it literally got me back almost everything I put in

And if you are a cheap jew like me, I went through the bank of america website and typed turbotax into their search box and it got an extra 35% of the cost of e-filing.

Used to use Turbo Tax; now I prefer H&R Block's software. Seems to have more help for more complicated returns.

Once you get a house and kids and that sort of stuff it starts getting complicated. Then its best to get the acct to do it.

I figured you'd use tax act, since it's free. No clue if it's any good, though.

I used to use H&R block but it was costing me $260 so I decided to do it myself with turbo tax. And I'm still getting about the same return so
I heard the H&R block software is just as good though.

Turbo Tax works great for the average person and would be fine even if married/kids/school etc. However starting throwing business stuff in there and rentals it gets complicated quickly...doesn't mean you can't do it but you have to know a little more about things to get through.

I've used it for the last 7 years now....

I've use turbo tax and H & R block software, as both have been offered free through the guard.
I have found it very beneficial to pay a guy $50 to do mine.
