Low maintenance really compared to cats and dogs, you dont have to walk them and you can leave for a few days and notr have to hire a pet sitter or take them to a kennel. i keep a 6 foot reef tank.
it all depends on what kind and size of tank he gets. it is a great hobby, but it can be a lot more maintenance, and you are limited to only a few days vacation, before you need a tank sitter to drop by.
