Fish aren't "pets", they're living decorations.
Skunks are actually pretty neat, but given how they behave in the wild, they'd constantly be rooting around in your carpet and hiding under things. *eta I'm with Rogue, go with the chinchilla. It's the next best thing to having a baby Ewok in your home.
