Dirty Dozen - race for the cure...

Greetings!

I am one of twelve road riding women motorcyclists have signed on to be members of the “Dirty Dozen.” We are called that due to our willingness to literally get dirty for the cures to breast and ovarian cancers through our fund raising and riding efforts on the Adventure for the Cures ride, August 6 – 16, 2009.

To be successful, I must raise a minimum of $2000.00 which will be divided equally between the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation www.thegcf.org <http://www.thegcf.org/> and the Dr. Susan Love Research Foundation www.dslrf.org <http://www.dslrf.org/> . Plus, I will have to successfully travel over 1500 miles, 80% of which will be on dirt roads and trails.

Why take on such a venture? Because recently I've had my own breast cancer "scare", and I want to make a difference for others who might get a less happy diagnosis than I did.

I am writing to request your donation, big or small. (We can also accept check donations made directly to the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation). I've already paid my own expenses for the journey so all the money you send "sponsoring" me goes directly towards Gynecological and Breast Cancer awareness programs. Please give whatever you can.
