Web Hosting/Website questions

Okay, so I know how to get my domain registered but am clueless when it comes to knowing anything about web hosting or web design.

I've decided to go with a Canadian Company (with servers in Canada) for registering my domain. They also offer web hosting but looking at the "chart" for comparing is leaving me a little cross eyed.

So.....I have a few questions that I hope someone can help out with.

How much disk space do I need?

Bandwidth?

This is a small personal site for an on-the-side business I'm starting in January. I will eventually have a portfolio up as well as client's pictures.

Any advice you can give on this is greatly appreciated!
