The amateur fight will happen at "Auburn Fight Night" at the Auburn Covered Center. The 22-year-old Maynard in 2004 won the ESPN ESPY award Best Athlete With A Disability. Maynard was previously denied a license to fight MMA by the Georgia Athletic & Entertainment Commission.

who's he going to fight a 3 yr old. I mean no disrespect but he has no advantage over a fullsize fighter who can just sit and kick the shit out of him from 3 feet away.
I've seen wrestlers missin one limb win but nothing like that. |

Nobody will want to fight that guy either. If you win, you look like a loser for beating up a handicap guy. If you lose you look like a loser for getting beat up buy a handicap guy. Either way it's..... FAIL.

It's good that the guy has enough self confidence to attempt this, but WTF thought this was a good idea?
Rider summed it well, it's a no win situation unless he can find another similarly handicapped guy to fight. |
