Video Camera's
For those of you who have video on your bike... what kind of cam you using?
any of you using a helmet mounted camera? (Trip) if so what kind? I'm looking at getting one... but I'm not sure what I want. I think I wanna stick to cannon... just because I tend to trust their optics a little more than others. I've even thought about an HD cam... but I'm not sure I'm ready to blow 800+ on a camera that's gonna be attached to my bike |

considering that you'll probably be posting vids on sites like youtube, photobucket, etc. theres not much point in an HD cam. it would be friggin cool as hell tho. just get a real solid tank mount

Have recorded 100's of ride vids. From
Digital cameras in movie mode on a universal mount: http://www.farson.com/video/alp4c.wmv to a helmetcamera.com bullet cam feeding a Sony MiniDV in fanny pack: http://www.farson.com/video/klunch.wmv to MiniDV camcorders on gas cap ring sportbikecam.com mount: http://www.farson.com/video/100k.wmv to all-in-one bullet cams recording to a memory card cam: http://www.farson.com/video/slcd4.wmv Each has its + and -'s. Have recorded HD ride vids and on a big screen LCD monitor it appears as if one is right there on the ride. Need a big horsepower PC to edit the video, and you won't be able to pass it around via the web in HD format for the bit rate is enormous. Last edited by sfarson; 04-08-2008 at 11:19 PM.. |

nice... I'll have to check out all those links tonight when I get home.
yeah I figured the bit rate would be HUGE on the HD ones... but damn it'd be nice to have... |
