The guy in Romania emailed me back pretty fast. The mounts are $80. That's pretty reasonable I think. I just have to decide if I want to do that or the RTP mounts. The RTP mounts ARE more heavy duty, I just have to be ready to cut the dash. And since it's my thread, and I can bastardize it if I want, a picture of the steed out in some 38 degree weather over the weekend at the lake. That windshield and the heated handgrips are niiiiiiiice!

I was wondering why you didn't just go with an RTP mount...
Nice picture

Man, you live in/near a city. I guarantee you that theres are Metal Fabrication shops in the immediate area who can make them. Your an engineer, im sure you can draw blueprints. Any fool with the right equipment and the least bit of knowledge could build it. Look harder, check the Yellow Pages, ask around. I mean the nearest city to me has at least 1/2 a dozen machine/fab shops that could do it, and its a tiny 'city'

is the reason WHY there are
because it's such a small town you have to MAKE most of the crap you need J/K man...there's a ton here too....but very few real "fab shops". They're mostly very specific machine shops making very specific things...and you bring them something "one off" even as simple as that, and they freak. I'm sure where YOU are, they HAVE to improvise and be able to make all kinds of things. HVAC sheet metal shop would be a good bet for that bracket though.
