Yup, 6 years. Boot camp and jail, for a first offence? Big red flags.

When I was young I got arrested. It's a long, convuluted story and really doesn't have anything to do with me but the basics are that within two wweeks after the Columbine shootings 56 kids from my area were rounded up and sent to \different places. Youk now, for safety and shit. Of the five kids that got sent where I went I'm the only one alive, this includes one of my best friends. One of them hung himself, one of them drank an air freshener and floor cleaner cocktail, and one of them "Fell down the stairs." This explains why the kid was bleeding from the asshole. I survivied and have gone on to have a family and a succesful military career. I have memory issues, I wake up screaming with nightmares, and I have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder. I don't know what this kid went through, but I'm here to tell you that it's no joke. As bad as prison is, add in the savagery that kids and their cruelty can dish out, then take away the restraint of age and experience. Juvie might be pretty cake in some places but in others it's pure hell.
Regardless, that kid's life was fucked up. A kid who could have been turned around, who was at the beginning of a bad path and could have been corrected with a minimum of effort instead was fucked over to make a buck for a crooked old bastard who took the law. The system that is supposed to provide justice and keep people safe set a kid with no previous record who made one mistake up for failure. Fuck this old prick and his whoiloe family, I hope he gets ass-raped with a fucking car jasck. I'm a little druck or you wouldn't have heard this, I'll probablyt delete it tomorrow.

Yeah the bottom line is...
The kid's punishment didn't fit his first offense crime. He only got that level of punishment cause the judge benifitted, finacially of all things, from it. Oh and I want to see those detention facilities closed down completely and those responsible in bribes also held accountable. |

I know one (a retired prosecutor) who has one, and he's paid dearly for it.
