The only problem is that before I ever bought the phone, Motorola promised me the OS upgrade was "coming soon". Each quarter it got pushed back again and again, until they released a new phone with the OS they had promised me in the first place. A couple weeks later, they announced I wasn't getting upgraded.

They lied to me. That's why I was pissed off.

If they weren't going to support it, that's fine, but they should have said that from the beginning. If I am to be responsible for my own upgrades, that's fine too. It would be nice if they would release the source code for the phone to make life easier for developers.

Apparently, Motorola is of the opinion that if they stop supporting this phone I will go out and buy another one of their products for the upgraded OS. That's not gonna happen. My next phone will probably say HTC on it.

I'm sure the carrier and google carry some blame as well. Its still a stupid thing to complain about.
