I'm worried that, if I ever do buy a firearm or two, they may fall right off a boat too, and be lost forever. In west Texas. It's a valid concern. Nobody here can drive a boat properly. (I assume. They sure can't drive a car properly.)

All of my guns were lost as I was shoulder deep in the flood waters of Hurricane Sandy, gun case held over my head to prevent water damage. As I was attempting to move them to a secure location a roaming pack of illegal Mexican negroes attempted to (flooded) car jack me and the Caucasian blond woman I just saved from flood waters. I dropped the case and god swallowed the guns and shat them back out to the mighty Atlantic. If you want proof, just remember all the folks who died from breast cancer. |

How is Troy being paranoid? I'd consider it being cautious and just having the initiative to not be lazy about doing what most people know is a good practice. Identity thieves sifting through one's garbage is not unheard of. Neither is thieves driving around the day before/on garbage day to see what boxes/etc. people have on the curb to get an idea of what may be new and pricey in their home.
Those that think what Troy does to mitigate his risk of being a victim of theft is extreme and he's being paranoid, well, I wonder if you've never been a victim of theft (ID or property) yourself. When you have, I guess you have a different take on it. |
