Hey I forgot about the 200mm tire!
FYI I did get a 200 series rear tire and spoon it on. My initial reaction was mixed but Once I made minor suspension adjustments,I'm very happy with it. It turns in a little slower but it's VERY stable in the corners and confidence inspiring. It may be my imagination but I feel as if I have more traction at intermediate lean angles than before. I like it so much in fact, that a guy on a local board, was selling sets of Pirelli Diablos 120 frt/200 r for $150 and I bought all three sets!

Upped the preload about 1/4-3/8 and increased the rebound a couple clicks. I considered slipping another spacer under the shock mount but decided to give this some time. I think I mostly had to get used to it. Oh and I put my tire at 42 psi like I told those assholes to do at the dealership! Where was it for a week? 36 psi!!! Man I was pissed at them and myself for not checking that first!!!

I even threw in a couple of the new "Hooptie" 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SLE. I got it for $1200,it needed new brakes, wheel bearings, inner tie rods, both passenger side window regulators, and a fuel pump which I just changed. Other than that it runs and rides good now! Man down south there's TONS of older cars in great shape body wise anyway. |
