So I used to date this girl named Kim, and one day she came over to my house. She had a pug and brought it with her. He hung out downstairs and we went to chill. Later I came downstairs to check some laundry to see my dad and this pug staring each other down. Now my dad barely ever strings more than ten words together, and they're almost never swaer words. Seriously, not a shit, or a damn, or a fuck comes out of the guy. I walk up to him and ask him what's up and thus proceeded one of the most memorable conversations I've had with my father.
"What's up dad?" Looks up at me very quizzically, "Son, what the fuck is this?" Laughing, "Dad, that's Kim's dog." Still confused he asks me, "What the hell kind of dog is this, son?" "She says it's called a pug." He nods and says, "Well I guess that fits." We both stare at the dog for another minute and then my dad looks at me and very emphatically and with all seriousness says "Son, that's the ugliest fucking dog I've ever seen. I'll never forget that moment.

I hope the dog has the demeanor your wife wants. Having been around Nikki's pugs, and Gina's pug, all of them have been *anything* but chilled.
