Well Im a Firm Beleiver in Brands being better than others...Samsung makes a Nice TV and thats what Vator has...Hitachi has never been Known for high Class Sets...So I think you would see a improvment going from Hitachi to Sony.
I'm looking at this http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-HL61A6...894076&sr=1-24

My rear-pro LCD IMHO has better viewing angles, not quite as wide as Plasma or flat LCD... but still relaly good. Color on mine is fantastic with very satisfying blacks (of course nothing will quite match a plasma for black) but I think it's a damn good bang-for-your-buck..... Now the higher end LCD's/Plasmas are coming down in price, so they're going to be obsolete. |

I have a 65" Mitsubishi DLP. In my old house I could view it from just about any angle becasue there was no direct sunlight to affect it. In the current set up, the daytime view-ability is less than the 42" LCD it replaced because the DLP is near the windows. Once beyond about 60* from center, it is harder to see things like the game clock during sporting events. Nighttime there is no noticeable difference. |

The DLP 1080i Picture is FUCKING AMAZING! ! ! !
Up to 300Hz refresh, 8 Millisecond Pixel response rate, 16.5MILLION colors (6TRILLION in the 3 chip sets) Glare from a Window really screws with the picture(lightness wise) *Think phone screen in the sun light* Other then that, i fucking love it! ! ! ! ! I think the LED models are supposed to "look" better
