They are known to eat other snakes including rattlers. my mex mex is an adolescent and is prolly close to 2 ft so it needs to be a smaller garter for him to try. he doesnt have much of a feeding response though so I dont know how good he would do at constricting it.

now I want one of these for my other spare bedroom

I fed my king a garter snake once. That was some entertainment right there, althoughI think watching him chase an anole was the best.
Saw an indigo snake eat one a long time ago. I didnt know anyone with king cobras though becasue they eat them too. One guy I knew had a few monacleds and a red spitter but wasnt sure if they eat other snakes.

if you come across an ambon island yellowhead could you ship him up here. Thats the bummer on LI all we have here are garter snakes, some lizzards that escaped from a pet store and painted and snapping turtles.

What could be funny down there is you may soon see a population of borneo bat eaters if the burms and retics start breeding.

Interesting...

Id love to have one, seriously looked into kings and possibly corn snakes. I like the harmless side of the corn snake. I cant have anything that would grow too much as I have a tiny dog and Id like to keep her.

But since most of my friends and family would refuse to come see me if I had a snake, well, I wont be getting one anytime soon. When I find someone I DONT want to come see me, I might rethink!
