You are right, he should have gone to the source... spoken to her and hoped she would be reasonable. Or, at the very least, afraid of legal action and done the right thing. And, be prepared to get a legal authority involved if she didn't.

But, to hold her absolutely accountable for her actions.

Working at a bar as a the doorman. Couple of white boys start a pushing match. I am in the process of throwing them out when some off duty cop, cruising by decides to jump in. Jumps out of his car and without a word, grabs me while I'm wrestling the two drunks and catches an elbow for his trouble. A couple other cops witness him hitting the deck as they pull up, they jump out of their cars and tackle me. I totally surrender the second I realize it's the cops but it doesn't stop them from striking me several times with batons and kicking me after I'm cuffed. I'm just lucky they didn't have tasers.

The good news is that the bar has surveillance cameras which recorded the entire thing, there's at least 50 witnesses and a State cop who saw the last 75% of the situation was on my side. I was wearing a bright yellow "SECURITY" t-shirt with the bar's name on it.

The bad news? Cops all rallied and got their lies straight. He claims he identified himself as a cop. No audio on the camera. Charged with assault on a police officer and hindering and opposing. Automatic 2 years in prison. My bail was so high that my friend had to put his house up to get me out of jail. Took 3 days. After over 1 year, tons of legal fees, months of harassment from the GRPD and about 6 court dates, they finally convince me to plea bargain down to creating a disturbance with a $500 fine....

They can do whatever they want! They can charge you with whatever and it'll be up to you to prove that you are innocent...due process my foot!

Do people in this thread know how to read? Triple said he doesn't care about the damage. And Kane has described his bad experiences with cops. I'm not one to doubt what was described.

And cops are no better than the humans you guys always say suck when you say "people suck". So why would you expect them to be any better? They certainly aren't paid enough to do so.

Small-town cops are the worst, their entrance requirements are a joke, as well as their salaries....... so they attract shit, and get shit.

John's lawyer actually ended up helping the city sweep it under the rug and despite the video evidence John ended up getting nothing. He was 17 or 18 at the time and took the lawyer's word that everything was ok. The lawyer was in with the D.A. or whoever, to make sure nothing came of it. Its not a conspiracy theory, its the way things work in many cities and not every act of police brutality makes the news.......

I agree with Kaneman...you call the cops and you are the one who ends up getting the ticket. Not worth it. They are corrupted by power and won't weed out the bad. It makes for a very bad combination.

I believe it. My uncle was a Chicago cop. He use to tell me the cops would beat the shit outta guys and dump them in the alleyways, then he would pick them up shortly after and drop them off at the hosptial. He said it was almost impossible to "rat" people out and have something come of it. It's a fucking shame.
