Meh, I'm short....have short legs. A tail bag has never bothered me. Even worse than a tail bag is when I had two filled backpacks on back with one strapped tightly on top of the other.

Yeah, I think it was just the general amount I had everywhere that got to be a pain. I had the tailpack, stuffed, it was tall up there... the saddlebags too, as well as my tank bag on the gas tank. It was fine for the most part, but after 2000+ miles in 4 days it got to be a pain in the ass. For future rides of the same distance I will pack less/better to be able to just use the tank bag and saddle bags or saddlebags and tailpack, not all 3.

My trunk is set up similar. I really like it because all I have to do is pop one seat off and put the bag on. Makes it super easy!
