The heat shield had been damaged in the fall but I was able to take a hammer and sand bag and pound it out. The shocks were a little tougher but the shield and springs came off so I could get the 0000 steel wool in there. Here is a picture of the exhaust pipe cleaning process. I took the head and valves over to a guy in Cedar Park tonight for the valve work. He's going to blast the head as well to clean it up. I should get the frame parts back from the powder coater this week then I'll have the cylinders honed and start putting the frame back together. I've also got to start tearing into the bottom end of the 450 this week too. |
