As for them moving around a lot, I'm not a hard rider. The only time I see the edge of my tire is when I'm going too hot into a corner. I just don't like them. Maybe I got the bad tire of the batch?

I don't have those assues with my Corsa III's. However, I am really leaning towards the Road 2's next set. Any group riding I do is with the Baltimore crew from Squidbusters...and it's 60 miles to the rendezvous point. Thats tough on a rear Corsa.

Pilot Road 2 FTW!!! I have that on the back of my bike and it's been pretty much slabbed the whole time since I work and go to school so much and have no time for mountain fun anymore. Tire still looks great and rides great.

But I do have a normal Pilot Power on the front (not 2ct)

I have Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro tires on my Duc.. surprisingly, they've lasted 5600 miles so far, and I still have a fair bit of tread on them. They have excellent stick (although I imagine I probably don't ride as aggressively as you, so YMMV). They are pretty pricey, though...

Whatever the current equivalent of the Bridgestone BT-20's would probably be a good bet if you want mileage and reasonable stickiness.. I got about 10k miles out of those tires and did lots of rides in the twisties without any problems.. but then that was nearly 6 years ago. Dunno how well the current generation of BT-20 tires works...

I just got a set of Pirelli Sport Demons...they stick good, but I've heard they wear out fast too. I think I can sacrifice mileage for good sticky tires myself...especially while I'm de-greenhorning...lol

I would suggest going with more of a sport/tourer if you want mileage.

I'm sure you know too that tire pressure makes a difference in how long they last.

The easiest solution is to lay off the throttle.

Good point. I run my Corsa's at 37 front and rear and they still look great.

I just use the stock Dunlop D220's and get about 6,500+ depending on how I ride them.

Note both the Bridgestones and the Dunlops are on sale at Bike Bandit for about $200 a set.
