He is the president, everything is political. I just remember that the "mom jeans" story was all over the major news websites for at least 24 hours until the next story de jure showed up. I find it especially humorous that CNN seems to have removed the articles. At least they didn't come up when I tried searching their website.

A better example is people referring to Cheney as Darth Vader.
