Suspension and Subsequent Reanimation
This is freakin crazy. In mice, thus far he has been able to suspend their life for 6 hours, then reanimate.
The short of it is by removing all oxygen and replacing with hydrogen sulfide to prevent the chemical reaction that occurs with oxygen deprivation causing cell death. http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/10/09...ion/index.html |
