That's awesome. Why doesn't it run? Looks like it's in really good shape.

It is in pretty good overall shape for an 18 year old bike, but up close it shows its age.

I don't know yet what all is amiss, I haven't really gotten into it much. I hosed it off and started removing the tank and body parts.

The plug caps and coils have been replaced, but the caps are not the right ones and the spark plug wells were full of water. I've found a few things that were just shoddy workmanship from R&R in the past. The guy I got it from had gotten the carbs rebuilt by the local dealer, but they leaked fuel after he got it back, so I know there is a problem there. The oil level is too high and smells of gasoline, probably from the over flowing carbs. I am charging the battery and letting things dry before I start testing things. If I have spark when I test, I'll move to the carbs. Should be fun, for a little while anyway.
