Honestly that tractor situation could have actually been the right time, if there is any, to dump the bike. Geese worked out exactly as planned. Hammered the brakes, hit the sack while releasing the front brake and coasted to a stop.

Wow, this thread is fucking retarded.
Rubber on pavement slows you much faster than plastic/metal on pavement... period. I'd rather hit something head on at a slower rate of speed & maintain the possibility of avoid it all together than pitch it down and slide underneath it at a much faster rate. And I've never met another rider that knew what they were doing who didn't feel the same way, regardless of how old their bike's technology was back when they first started.
