Calling all CAD Drafters
Anyone know of a good program for vectorizing jpegs into an AutoCAD .dxf? I have found a ton on google but looking for one someone recommends. This is the img:
trying to get it into AutoCAD so I can cut it out on a plasma cutter so I need to clean it up so it's not trying to cut all the little specs and whatnot out. |

I can vectorize it, but I am not sure if I can get it into a .dxf. I can get it into a .eps and that should let you open it up in autocad maybe. I use adobe illustrator to do all my vector work for vinyl stickers and t-shirts for TWFix.

Easier to trace it in AutoCAD - 30 minutes tops.

It's not a matter of not being able to get it done via tracing just a matter of making my life easier in the future lol. From what I have read you can export .eps files in Illustrator as .DXFs. I'll have to fire it up this weekend and play around and see.
Thanks BTW. |

That image is not clean enough for a vector job to take 30 seconds. You'd spend more time cleaning it up than you would just drawing it in the first place. I can do it for you tomorrow night if nobody else gets to it before then. It'll only take a few minutes.

Yeah, it will take longer to clean it up, but not much.

How big do you want it? Give me the OD dimension you want for the biggest circle.
