Thats why the framers never thought to include a right to privacy. Why the hell would we need that if we clearly state that you can say what you believe without fear.

Votes are secret because of things like intimidation.

Votes and signatures are both expressions of political choice. Both might invite intimidation/retaliation.

I think this could end up biting the people who went after this group right in the ass. Hardcore right wingers aren't afraid to intimidate some people and left wing is known to fill out some petitions.
