Default the dog days of summer are behind

well no posts yet about cooler morning rides to work. temps here have dropped pretty considerably in the last couple days. now the morning ride to work involves seeing your breath. LOL
won't be long and I'll have to switch to the winter gloves.
I love the afternoon rides at this time of year. better weather can't be had, but I hate the fact that I know it means the end is coming.
I have ridden all year one year. it was fun, but I don't think i'd do it again. we had an older German fella in the town where I lived as a young teen, that rode all year every year. His only vehicle was a BMW motorcycle. He was an inspiration.

Yep - time to put the features of my Joe Rocket Alter Ego jacket and pants to full use again.

Oh yeah: wet leaves EVERYWHERE. Like riding on ice.

So nice here this morning. Upper 50's and a little breezy. High of 75 today. Wish it was like this all year.

Fuck me. It's getting too freaking cold for me. I'm already wanting to bust out my Kilo jacket.

This is why I want to invade Cuba. Big ass mountains for great twisties and beautiful weather all year long. Plus Vida Guerras running all around.

Cold, who cares about cold... no riding here because we've gotten 13 inches of rain in the past two days. Most of it was on Tuesday night.

We haven't seen rain in over a month.

I switched jackets and have the heated grips on HIGH all the time now.

Oddly enough though, I have more free time to ride now than I ever did in warmer weather.

Leave the house in the morning dressed for 55 degree weather and no sun.
Get home it mid to high 70's sweating my ass off.

Its going to suck when I'm have to shift my riding schedule back to mid day after morning temps dip into 30's and under.

Right now the only people I have to worry about now are bicyclist and other crack-o-dawn riders.
After the shift to midday I'm going to have to deal with "cars" and "cops".
