ed here

they fired this guy from my office today, he was my units lead elect. engineer.

only caveat is that he's going thru a nasty divorce, so i'm up in the air about it. people brought up that maybe wife planted the disc.......

the co prob. fired him under a morals clause, but maybe the co. had his comp. searched and maybe that brought about the firing.

dunno, boils my blood though

http://www.click2houston.com/news/27132696/detail.html

he was engineer weird but never saw pedo weird.

drove an m3 and my buddy sat over the wall from him, and often would hear him tell somebody on the phone, "maybe i'll take you on a ride in the BMW", he also called up my direct lead shortly before being booted asking for the the phone # to T Rowe Price, cuz this is gonna cost him , big

he chatted w/ me this morn, how are things going............yada yada.........

same thing?

Given that the alleged victim was an 11 year old child, and that some people are saying innocent people have been swept up along with the guilty, I expect that was where he was going.

If that guy is proven innocent I wonder if hed be able to sue the company for wrongful termination? I mean anybody could say they found a CD with kiddie porn on it in your possession and take it to the police and the next day youre out of a job.

The whole "searching his computer" thing probably did it. Images in your temp files folder are seen as "proof", even if you didn't know the link you clicked on contained pedo images.

That "searching the computer thing" was a "maybe."

As to the firing; "right to work" State? If they don't give a reason, then it's pretty tough to prove.

ding ding ding we have a winner.

Best advice ever given to me by HR - it is in your best interest to simply say "It's not working out" when asked for a reason. That and never say "I'm sorry"...

So, has the number of pedophiles gone up in recent years? Or, is it that they are all being caught now and were always there undercover before?

I would think that results in more CONVICTIONS, rather than in catching more of them.

A lot of the crap, going on now, is online. The anonymity of the internet protects them, but it also provides the means to catch them. In Canada we have an entire division of police who are tasked with tracking pedophiles. Some of the cases that you have solved down there, were actually broken here.
