Yeah, maybe if you put force on it while it's directly on paint. You put your hand in the middle of the cloth and apply pressure that way. It may rub against the paint, but it won't do anything to it. It's very, very soft/smooth, trust me. I've been using these for a couple years now and my bike is fine. You're worrying too much. All you have to do is keep 'em clean and soft and a washer and dryer does it. I don't wash them after each use, but after several uses or if they dirty faster.

Gas, I just bought some of those at Auto Zone last night. $5 each. I already used then and they work great. I got 5 of them.

Nice... I use the high quality Micro Fiber ones... they are soft as hell too, never had a problem with those.
