Didnt look to be that fast to be honest...I think short of straight up snail pace anyone would have had some issues coming up on stopped traffic such as this. And as you can see...the semi clearly didnt matter what speed he was going bc thats alot of vehicle to stop in those conditions.
I like the end of the video when you hear the tire clucking as he's driving...Wonder how far he drove like that with it in that condition.

Whether everyone does it or not is irrelevant. If you are driving at a pace that doesn't allow you time to react in a controlled manner to something on the road ahead of you (it was a collection of cars, not like a deer jumped out of the woods) then you have to recognize you're taking a calculated risk. I grew up driving in Michigan, I know the drill. I just am surprised the first reactions were to blame the caes stopped on the road. I highly doubt it was a spontaneous picnic.
The driver in the Edge was in way over his head. |

My foolproof plan is slightly different than this. I run out the door to go driving when it's snowing out. There is not much to do that is as fun as dragging a few friends behind your car while fishtailing down the highway with the traction control off in 6 inches of snow
