Can I run two 55's off of an average bike's electrical?? If so, I'm going to order a set asap..

Tmall, what's your stock headlight set-up? If you've got dual 55w halogens then you'll be fine, but if you want to err on the side of caution you can go with dual 35's and still get WAYYYY more output than your stock headlights.

What strains the system is if the HID's turn on before the engine fires up. I've read from multiple sources that the initial firing of the ballast can take a heavy toll on the battery if it's not being charged at the time the bulbs or bulb fires up.

Thus I'm actually considering wiring in a relay/switch of sorts so that I can turn the HID bulb on AFTER I start the bike and off BEFORE I kill the ignition.

I have a buell firebolt. And I have the manual, I should have thought to check it.

I'd be very surprised if they weren't. Almost all OEM halogen bulbs are.

Are you on Badweb? Hit that up to see if anyone's done the HID on your bike. I'm sure someone on there has.

Tons of ppl have put HID's in Buells, myself included. And honestly, I have no idea what watt mine is. I think 55. Buell lights are notoriously terrible, especially the Firebolt.

Where can I get a timed relay? That may be benificial for my 3 HID setup I will be running.
