What does a guy on a million ton aircraft carrier need to hide from?

(yes, I know sailors perform many jobs that don't involve being shipborne, but it was just funny to me)

Whatever it is, apparently the only place to hide from it will be in a group of cops.

Not saying it works, not saying it's good, but it's what they give us, and what we have to deal with.

Agreed.
Though they do blend in well in a stubble field with a bit of regrowth. Wore them out hunting dove and my buddies said I disappeared

But yea, velcro does not = tactical
heh they shoulda called em ARUs for army recruitment uniform. same deal with the beret. shit sucks but kids think its cool and sign up, or at least thats their mindset.

They already do- saw a pair the other day. They actually aren't too bad. I still prefer my DCUs to just about everything, though.

Just give me insulated blue coveralls for the winter, unlined for the summer. Black boots and no hat. Name, rank, and service component. The maintenance badge is irrelevant as coveralls are only for mechanics. The fuckers in the chow hall get there own special uniform so that they look like they're professionals. What does a professional wrench wear? Fucking coveralls. Add the fact that a single set of coveralls costs about $20; ABU pants, top, and hat alone cost about $100 before you get all the shit sewn on.

Yeah, funny thing is, now there is no push to recruit. They say by monday all reenlistment and sign on bonuses will be reduced or cut completely.
Guess that's what happens when you are at 130% strength, even with the 25% overstrength allowance.

BDU's passed their wear out date already. Some of the BDU field gear is still usable however.

Yeah... they make us wear coveralls so we can keep our ACU's all pretty for formations.

for you guys... ours is Oct 1 2011... I had a pair of ABU's last year in AK... fuck'n hated them... but I did find Kel-Lac.com has 100% cotton ABU's... (normal ones are 50% cotton 50% poly... and HEAVY) so I'm hope'n they're lighter... I'll probably wait till I go to Lackland and see if I can hit up their store to try them on... if they're lighter I'll make the switch...

but I was hot in ALASKA... can't imagine being in Mississippi in them! especially as I'll be out side more...
