Some people, faced with adversity, battle things in their own way...but don't manage to appear to "take it" very well, and it frankly reflects in their mood, and the way they treat, and interact with others...and who could really blame them? Life sometimes doles out some raw fucking deals.
Fascinating and rare are those among us, who, faced with adversity, show instead great courage, and even a sense of humor in the face of some of life's worst horrors. That shows a strength that I'm not ashamed to say that I certainly wish I had more of (though I'm thankfully not as bad as some, to be sure). People like this are quite honorable, and really rather heroic in my eyes. That's where I place them.
