finally got around to rooting my droid tonight. found a semi official "test" release of froyo coupled with the dev kernel which allows overclocking to 800 mhz seems to be working pretty good, averageing 12.5 mflops via linpack. pretty happy with things overall, might try a bump to 1k later but so far its nice and stable. lost wifi though. have to work on that later...

mine is starting to glitch more and more... thinking of doing the whole process again. not sure what the issue is, but the touch screen isn't as accurate anymore, programs hang quite a bit, pandora will quit working and throw error messages until I re boot. doesn't happen often... just more and more.

still love Froyo.. the Droid is supposed to get the Official version here this month! (july)

We'll see how it goes, I used a clean unmolested rom/kernel so I'm hoping the performance sticks around. Really flying on the old mobile site
