Just opened up the northern part of the map. Mexico was fun, but running from one end to the other constantly got old. When I was in New Austin I would ride everywhere. In Mexico I just used my campsite to travel quickly.

Ya, I did the same. The third area is even smaller then the first. Its really easy to ride from place to place.

Once you fiond the fifth bar of gold/treasure, the stagecoaches become free too, so you dont need to go out in the wilderness to use a campsite to fast travel for free.
