yeah it is, local BB poster is selling hers fro $3500 w/ ~350 miles

Yea not bad! You have to remember that the '08 sold for $3,600 I believe and the blue book is $2,200-2,500. I understand that these bikes are kinda rare but yeesh!

thats retaining its value........thats why the "i can't afford to buy 2 bikes" excuse for buying a 600SS is bunk. we sold our 250 for like $100 less then we paid w/ ~4k mi

and buying used is the way to go.

I sold my V-Max for more than I paid for it 5 years prior. Of course that's another "rare bike" situation. Plus I stole that bike from a kid that got it for a gift and was scared of it!

Not much to it really. I got a good deal on it to begin with. Prior to me crashing it, it had never been down. I low sided at about 25 mph. Last year I listed it for 3500 and took 2500 for it. I was up front and totally honest about the bike. Didn't hide anything.

sure there are special circumstance and deals, but commonly beg. bikes hold their value esp. after the first buyer. most other bikes depreciate like rocks.
