You bought your bike and her ring, how exactly is that fair? It's not, especially today when women are suppose to be "equals." I think we should start demanding engagement ducatis from them if they say yes. Oh and they have to work and pay for them and not use any of your money at all.

Chris got an e-ring, too. (so he'll end up with two rings when it's all said and done).

Hey now. I bought Cutty a ring which was supposed to say that when he's ready I am ready to get offically engaged. He handed it back to me and told me to return it cause he would never wear it. So I tried... I also if I knew it would be excepted as an "engagement gift" get Cutty a track bike.... However, since he is so set against getting engaged right now..... To bad.

That would be nice, but it would never fly... With the majority of women anyway.

I don't want a ring, I don't really want a wedding ring because I absolutely hate jewelry/watches in all forms. You want rings, it's not a fair trade for both to get rings. We need something we really want like some girls really want diamonds.

Well he wanted a ring!!! (mind you, if I could've afforded to, I'd have bought him an engagement R1, too, but either way, he gets what he wants anyway ).

I don't wear rings, so I don't want one.

the longer i am married the more it feels like a business arrangement, and less like a relationship. i feel like we exchange goods and services with one another. we, too, have separate finances. i'd be totally screwed if my husband died tomorrow, because i have no idea how much he makes or owes and to whom. the only thing we really share are the kids. i guess i am becoming jaded now or something, but marriage just ain't what it used to be for me (or what i expected).
