I made a list of weapons I want to handle last night. Price range is all over the board. I can't afford most of them as a first gun. But I want to check them out.

We can do our best. But a LIST may be hard. We'll see.

Well, it's just for my reference. I realize I may not be able to fire some of them. But I should be able to handle most of them between visiting various Gun Shops.

Anyway...Gas already knows this but I'm picking up a pistol today. Wasn't necessarily ready to buy but the deal is too good to pass up. Details to follow...

picked up a kahr mk9... nice and small, grip fits me much better than the fat grip of the doublestacked glocks, good heft to it for reducing recoil, trigger is long but very smooth, perfect carry gun with 6plusone 9mm +p's in a miniscule package or 7plusone with mag with pinky extension

And for those who don't know...I picked up a Springfield XD-9 with 2 holsters, a speed loader, 2 mags, a lock, the original case, and 4 boxes of ammo for an excellent price. I simply couldn't let this go by without buying. It's used but only has 100 rounds put through it. Plus one mag is full of hollow points.

A good first pistol?
Something in .22LR caliber like a Ruger MkII/MkIII or a Browning Buckmark. Good for basic marksmanship training and doesn't break the bank with the cost of ammunition while you're getting trained up.
