I think there will be... but yeah the $ is what's holding them down right now.

I liked Lou Holtz idea... play the bowls... ALL the bowls by 2 Jan. then take the top 4 ranked winners... and play a single elimination tournament.

ehh. i remember hearing somewhere that the presidents of the schools also don't want an "extended" football season since it would coincide with the spring semester. again, more BS, cause the damn basketball season goes from now through the first week of April. So by the presidents of the schools saying that it helps quash the playoff scenario

Yeah the fuck'n Small 10 is the reason we don't have a playoff system now... they voted against it... even with the majority of their coaches saying yes.

I say they start the season sooner then... oh god... it coincides with MLB... (which sucks donkey dick anyhow)

don't have to start it earlier just get the bowls out of the way as soon as the season ends. if you were to start the bowls after the conference championships you'd have the games done by Christmas including the BCS games. then the following week you start the playoff games. but it wont happen

i forgot who it was i think it was a pac 10 school Oregon State maybe. they were 3 games into their schedule and hadn't even started class yet...go figure

I just hate that we played a confrence game so fuck'n early in the season... but this is a rebuilding year for us... and yet we controll our own destany for the Rosebowl! (ugh... I cringe that I just said that)

hell I'd be happy if we started the season in June!

as long as the games don't get watered down... the great thing about college football is EVERY GAME MATTERS... unlike every other sport... where if you loose one or 10 it's ok...
