Abstinence isn't better. Sex is good exercise and good for your prostate. If you are a responsible adult, that can take appropriate measures, there is no need to abstain from sex at all.

Cigarettes on the other hand, have no benefits. You don't see people smoking as much nowadays. People are flocking away from it. I am very happy they banned it in restaurants in Tennessee. It's nice to go eat and not smell that shit.

If this really does get people to kick it for good, then e-cigs are great in my opinion.

E-cigarettes are awesome! They made quitting smoking so much easier for me. And if you don't want to quit they smell better, are cheaper and healthier than the real thing.

I used them for about a year, and about 3 months after I quit completely I went and had a completely athletic/lung function test done at a local University (UTA). My VO2 Max was 57 (about the same as a college athlete, I'm 30) and my lung elasticity was excellent.

Krabill, I have a buddy who is a distributor for E-cigs in the DFW area, if you're selling your own product I'd be happy to hook you guys up.

That article was from 2009. The FDA keeps trying to put them down, but they simply have nothing concrete they can find to base their distrust of e-cigs on. Unfortunately for all the nay-sayers, there just haven't been any medical issues come up yet. Granted, the technology is still in its infancy, but so far they have proven to be as safe as drinking coffee.

Of course I'm not suggesting someone who doesn't smoke to start up with e-cigs. Nobody should start using nicotine, but if you do, these have been proven to be much, much safer than regular cigarettes.

Yeah, I was in NY last week and it surprised me that cigarettes were $10/pack. Ouch. E-cig maintenance is about $10 a week for a pack-a-day type of person. A New Yorker could go from a $310 a month habit to $43 a month.

Wonder how much difference there is between the nicotine cravings. Never smoked anything but a few cigars with drinks , so I don't know what the craving is all about.

Can't beat that kind of money savings and get rid of the smell too, if you can get the same reaction off it.

Believe it or not nicotine is more addicitive than heroin.

That's just weird to me. I used to smoke cigars with friends a few years back and it was the social aspect that was the addicting part. Replace cigars with beer, video games or music and it all had the same effect. They just need a hobby!
