It will probably be a month or so before I hit 1000 miles, maybe even 2.

Most guys won't let a bike with less than 800 miles on their dyno... for their own protection.

There's no way a stock '06 R6 (mine @ 5,000 miles) is only 9hp less than a '06 750 with a slip-on. I put out a 108 with the wires hooked up to my bike and all that and the same year 750 only put out 117? That dyno was fucked up.

It was humid as shit here too, I'm sure that didn't help.
And remember, every dyno is gonna be different.
It's realatively consistant though as mine was within tenths of a couple nights before.

I've seen that before, and kinda agree with it... but even if that is true, why would someone running a dyno want to risk it?

well if that's the case, and the dyno was reading low, then my 1125 should be putting down like 140-150!

Sweet, I'm making more at the rear wheel than the factory claims at the crank!

humidity and elevation make a dif

what are they risking? if they are responsible for any engine mishaps(i doubt it)-the mileage of the engine shouldnt matter

just curious-u said u kinda agree with it, so how did you break in your buell?

Most of my riding for the first 600 miles was kept under 7500, per the manual.
There were a few... quite a few... times during those miles that I would do a rapid acceleration and run it up to 9500ish and then shift...
Never hit the limiter before break in completed, and only hit redline once...

so basically, I rode it like I would have anyway, considering the break in was done while it was cold as fuck and lots of sand on the streets.
