Web Hosting/Website questions - Page 2

A custom business card is cheaper than a custom website. If you go that way it depends on if vistaprint will let you have the code. If so then yea you can just throw it up on another hosting server. I get the feeling though that they won't since it is to keep you hosting through them...

I bought some great cards from Overnightprints.com. Why not get the website setup and then design the cards to match the website.

Because I foolishly fell in love with a card design. Vistaprints does websites too but not sure I'm getting the best bang for my buck there. I'm willing to pay for the design...just haven't heard back from them yet.

Buy the cards and have a website built like the card.

Then you are talking a pretty decent amount of money for the website. Kel, do you have a picture of the card you want you could post?

I hear Square Space was pretty good and easy to use.

The biggest question is how much do you want to be involved in your web design? Do you want somebody to maek you a page once and leave it alone or do you want to be able to tweak the design of your site when you want to?

Not at all. My brother made the website for my detail shop. It had the same "look" as the cards. We paid less for the web design then the cards.

Why not just use the vistaprint set up? The prices don't seem to be too bad.

Vistaprint is 9.99 a month for their lowest package. Most other places are much lower than that.
