Hopefully it will not mess with unemployment if you need it. I'm not sure you can qualify if terminated for cause. It must have felt very satisfying though.

Getting laid off means you qualify for unemployment. Getting fired for insubordination (even if they deserved it, it is still cause for termination) means you usually don't qualify.
