Allow me to give you a little education in musclecars...a little James Burke "Connections" for ya, only Detroit-style, if you will.

The little Vega Kamback above you disparaged

...actually looks a lot like the 70 Camaro

This car was once made into a show car, called the Khamback.

There was also a Firebird model.

You may also remember that the show car Corvette model called the "Nomad"

...which later begat the Nomad model of the same name, with similar styling in the fullsize line later.

Ahhh...will the wagon backs never end?

Nothing wrong with wagons........But the 70's ones were atrocious. My parents had a 70's Dodge wagon, and it was horrible looking.

As for the Camaro you posted, I never liked 2nd-gen F-bodys. The first gens were the best. The same is true for Mustangs, but that goes without saying.

That vega is bad ass...with a turbo'd small block...or a wicked 502. The 70's were the best years for muscle...Chevelle, GTO, Camaro, Mustang, Charger, Challenger and the Barracuda. The second gen Camaro was beautiful until they had to put the mandated 5mph bumpers and after that the stylists tried to over "swoopify" them. I would take a split bumper Camaro over any of the other muscle except the Boss Mustangs. As for the Opel GT, there was one on Pinks All Out last night with a 500 inch mopar big block...the guy looked like if he farted the thing would explode...very small inside, but set up right...whoa.

I thought they didn't move to the F body until 82?
