The other thing about SMX+ boots is the titanium piece scrapes the paint off swingarms.

I took a ride to a local bicycle store, wearing all my gear. As I was walking out, a little girl and her mother were walking in.

The little girl said to her mom, "Mommy, does he have to wear all that stuff on his motorcycle?"

Mom said, "No, but it's the smart thing to do."

I thought that was pretty cool.

I had a friend that had a hawk. He could actually pull it off. The best part about it was hearing everyone ask how much hair gel he used as part of every convo. I saw another dude with one, but he was goofy going into it.. and well.. goofier coming out. It just doesn't fit everyone.. or.. hardly anyone for that matter.

Let it go,man! I've had SMX+ boots for 5 or 6 years (maybe more) and I have never noticed any "scraping" on the 3 bikes I've worn them on. Now of course they were 3 GSXRs so Besides,I don't have a Ti piece on the instep of the boot.
