Chenango Import Motors (where I bought my SV because they have the best prices on new bikes around here) is apparently closing this month.

The largest local Euro store (Triumph, Ducati, KTM) closed their doors recently.
It was a combination of factors that led to their closing. Thankfully, the next closest Euro (Triumph, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi) shop was able to step in and take on the Ducati line and expand their Triumph service area.

One store closed in the past year, but it was pretty crappy to begin with.
Oddly enough, two local shops have upgraded from normal-size shops to ENORMOUS showrooms (one is 45,000 square feet!) within the past year... remains to be seen how well they'll do. They were pretty pricey to begin with, I can't imagine what they're like now.

I haven't noticed any closing but I haven't been to one in over a month so it is possible.

Haven't seen any close around here...but Central PA is typically less effected by economic downturns than other parts of the country.

There is one about an hour from here that closed last week. It was a Honda/Yamaha shop.

BMW Atlanta I think took the Ducati line. Which is good because htey are good people. Triumph in Cumming closed but I forgot why. Moto400 I believe took their line. Infact a few small motorcycle stores have popped up around us. Then the countless scooter places in Midtown have been doing great. Hell Riders Hill in Dahlonega took MV Agusta and MotoGuzzi recently. Damn, the Atlanta motorcycle market seems to be kicking ass now that I think about it. Shit the asshole sales people here still treat their bikes like they are made of gold and blow jobs.
