Probably also unknown to you, as they're also not American (this one's an Aussie band):

Eagles of Death Metal rocks, also Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Hurt, the Horrorpops, Zombie Ghost Train, Koffin Kats, Rasputina, Rev Theory, Tiger Army, and the Von Blondies. A few one-album wonders you might or might not have heard of are Atomship, Dark New Day, Illbreak (if you can find their album, you can download it from Amazon) The Union Underground, People in Planes, Wolfmother, and Operator. Also try out Otep, Psychostick (comedy but fun) Red, and Monster Magnet (yes, they have songs other than Space Lord and most of them are cool)

Jeff Beck & Tal Wilkenfeld
Jeff Beck you've certainly heard of. Tal Wilkenfeld, his gorgeous new bassist is probably new to you...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XV7OA...eature=related Moss has not grown on Jeff, either.

Altho they were just on some major companies commercial, one of my faves that few people I run into know of is Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, they are a punk ska, do alot of remakes of classics. They always make me smile...

My local boys, Vayden. They don't have an official vid yet. They aren't really undiscovered 'caused they are signed and have spent a lot of the last year touring with Tantric. (Although they are nothing like Tantric.)
Vayden And my buddy Bruce, who is their drummer, played the drums for guitar hero 3 track, Devil Went Down to Georgia. Bruce |

Framing Hanley....
Framing Hanely And if you're into melodic, acoustic, whole lot of harmonies, "Eagles" type music, The Storys are my fav UK band. They are pretty much unknown here but have toured a lot in Europe and the UK and their singer is currently doing shows with Jon Lord and is pretty much the best male vocalist I've heard in years. (Steve Balsamo - 3 1/2 octive range. If you're into it, listen to him sing Gethsemane on youtube, the Ahoy Holland preformance.) The Storys |
