$80 for a swingarm?! You're lucky that bike's not totaled. Are they/ can they do anything to the idiot that didn't torque his calipers? That group had better rethink their tech inspection.

Fuck going through insurance, theres no way they would have covered me.
My deductible is 500$ and the damage is about 300$ so I'm good to go. Im going to do a 520 Kit while I'm at it and few other little things I've always wanted to do (powdercoat the new swingarm, Nicky mod, Relocate rear brake resevoir, shit like that)

Their tech inspections are great, he just changed wheels last second and didnt go through again...you cant honestly keep track of everyone who does that.

I got lucky, shit happens, im not mad, the other guy felt terrible but w/e nothign we can do! Being pissed off isnt going to fix my bike any faster ya know?

There are certain risks involved when you ride a motorcycle, whether thats on the track or on the street. You can't prevent every single incident, shit happens, as you are aware.

You're in good spirits, thats good. Keep it up!

Some orgs urge the riders to recheck/tech their own bikes throughout the day as well. Or even have someone else look i tover since they may pick up on something you didnt.

i think a guy died at loudon a few years ago because he didnt put the pins in to hold his brake pads in the calipers.
