8 years...got my license finally in 2000..
Back in the 90's, as long as you had a MC permit and a drivers license the local cops in my county wouldn't get on your case to much as long as you weren't riding like an asshole. |

One day.
Years ago, my dirt bike riding buddy who also had a whole garage full of street bikes asked if I'd go explore some back roads with him and told me I could borrow one of his bikes. I never really had any ambition to ride on the street (dirt was enough for me), but I went anyway. That was my one and only ride on the street without a license. I got my license the day I bought my first street legal bike. |

They didn't have a motorcycle endorsement when I started riding, at least not where I lived at the time.
Finally got one in '84, because it saved me $$$ on insurance. JC

I think I was about 2 months. I bought the bike, amd went to get my permit that day, but I had to wait 2 months to take the road test. I wound up just tooling around on the bike, and the few times I got pulled over right off the bat I just told the police that I couldnt keep up with the liscensed rider I was with, and he left me and I was just trying to make my way home

Damn I thought I was going to be the only one with 0 days. Fucking rebels.
I wanted to take the MSF course and it they don't start till around May or so. Thats a lot of missed riding so I took it the year before I planned on buying so I could ride the first nice or close to nice day. I didn't have the money so it wasn't till the year after that (about 1.5 years after the course) I bought my brand new R6. I was able to ride here and there before I bought my bike because people would let me take a ride on theirs. James |
