I love how they kill off Hammond in the book... They sorta did that with another character in another movie in the series...

I think so... right at the beginning... first guy to die IIRC... Either way, the movies after #1 were fucking abominations.

I could release the full nerd rage I have for most Comic to movie adaptations and how they absolutely rape the source material, but the one that really chaps my ass lately is Wanted. The movie is a festering pile of miserable suck that changes so many elements of the sources that it's almost embarassing that there's even a weak link between the two. The original story is bad ass. The movie is suck ass.

Running Man is also a big departure from the book. I love the hell out of the movie, but aside from some similar themes and plot points, the two are incredibly different.

Fuck yes, in both book and movie form. Kinda eerie seeing some of the concepts of reality tv and some similar 9/11 stuff described so accurately in a book from almost 20 years prior to the realities.
