sorry to say, but 18 months usually isn't a stellar time for training, its alot harder to get the pup to get rid of bad behavior.

Personally, I would be wary of a training program where I wasn't involved 100 %.What kind of training did they use??? Positive reinforcement??? NILIF??

Seriously, go join that forum. Alot of info for Bully breeds.

I'll check it out thanks...yeah i know it was late to start training...but i spent half of 08 in bed recovering...but they assured me it would be no prob...

We're going through all the training with our German Shepherd right now.

We put him in a day school program. He was dropped off four days a week and was trained for 15-20 minutes every hour. This went on for 10 weeks. Once that was done we started to go to the trainers three times a week to learn how to work him. This is the key to the whole thing. I think the easiest part for the trainer is training the actual dog. The owners are a whole nuther story...

I dont know what you paid but we paid $1600 for the entire program. There is no time limit. Were done when everyone is satisfied that the dog is controllable on and off leash. If he needs to go back in the future theres no charge.

I dont know what your expectations were or what the trainer told you but they cant just take your dog and give him back and have him do whatever you say. You have to work with the dog DAILY to keep his training up.

I've never heard of training a dog, without the owner being involved. It doesn't sound very effective to me.
